The project is planned to be a four story 58 unit condominium, with units containing two or three bedrooms with two baths, and ranging in size from 1,377 to 2,648 square feet. The project will also have roof top decks as an additional amenity. The units will be clustered around a central courtyard and will also contain 5,810 square feet of ground floor retail space. The project approved joins two other complexes for seniors 55 and older that the council approved in 2005: Silver Spur Court, an 18-unit condominium complex under construction at the corner of Silver Spur and Crenshaw Boulevard (replacing the former McDonalds restaurant), and Rolling Hills Villas, a 41 unit condominium . The property is located towards the eastern end of Deep Valley Drive and has a roof top deck area with tables and chairs and a bar-b-que area. This project is one of several designed to provide residents easy access to restaurants, shopping, and other services in the Peninsula Center commercial area. The kitchen finishes include granite counters, cherry or maple wood cabinets, and stainless steel appliances, including washer/dryers in each unit and a tankless water heater system. Bathrooms include travertine showers with some bathrooms including a jacuzzi tub. Units must be occupied by someone 55 years old or older. If you would like me to show you these units, contact me at 310-259-7124 The project is consistent with the Citys vision of an urban village along Deep Valley Drive mixing retail, office, and commercial uses in a pedestrian friendly environment. On March 7, 2007 the planning commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes recommended that the city council approve a proposal for a new 16 unit condominium complex in the citys downtown area at 827 Deep Valley Drive.. Craig Knickerbockers mixed-use project joins three already approved condo projects in the downtown core along Deep Valley Drive from The Avenue of the Peninsula shopping center to Silver Spur. The units are planned to be one bedroom, one bathroom, and a den ranging from 1,150 to 1,250 square feet, and are planned to appeal to young buyers, or to empty nester retirees wanting to maintain a small residence on the Hill. The developer will renovate an existing medical office building while building the new condo residences.
