Arizona was the 48th state admitted to the Union on February 14, 1912. and the last state in the contiguous United States admitted. Arizona still has a large presence in the high tech industry including computers, software, electronics component manufacturing, and aerospace manufacturing.
Arizona is known for its dry arid environment. The northern part of the State also has the largest stand of Ponderosa pine trees in the Unitied States, and is also home to mountaneous areas.
