is bounded on the north by Montana, on the east by South Dakota and Nebraska, on the south by Colorado and Utah, and by Utah and Idaho on the west.
Wyoming
is the 10th largest state by area, and with a population of approx. 500,000, is the least populous state. Wyoming was admitted to the Union as the 44th state on July 10, 1890 . Major industries and employers in Wyoming include farming (cattle, sheep), mining (coal, uranium), oil, natural gas, and tourism. The name Wyoming may be derived from the Delaware Indian word "Maughwauwama," which means "large plains." The nickname of the state of Wyoming is "The Equality State".
