This beautiful resort, developed by Lowe Enterprises opened June 12, 2009 , and sits on 102 acres of seaside bluffs on the former Marineland Aquarium site in Rancho Palos Verdes, just south of the intersection of Hawthorne Blvd. and Palos Verdes Drive South..The amenities of the resort include the following:

There is extensive public access to the beach with public parking for beach fishing access just north of the main entrance to the Resort, as well as public access to the beach at the south end of the resort (including public restrooms and a public snack bar). There is also be public access via an extensive bluff top trail system.

The main hotel building is a 5 story structure containing 360 rooms. The 62,000 square foot conference center includes an 18,000 square foot main ballroom plus two junior ballrooms. There is a 25,000 square foot world-class health spa as well as a golf academy featureing a large clubhouse and a nine hole executive golf course designed by Todd Eckenroad. This academy is staffed with teaching pros and the latest equipment.

The Resort Pool

The lavish main pool – on par with great hotel pools anywhere in the world – boasts an artful design befitting its spectacular location along the resorts southernmost bluff. This family pool provides a friendly atmosphere for guests of all ages. The Pool also has a wonderful winding pool slide for the kids.

The Beach Club Pool

Perched on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the ocean, the Beach Club pool is an adult getaway within the family friendly resort.

Nelson’s Bar

A particularly scenic and noteworthy fine dining option is Nelson’s located directly above the Pacific. With a view to the Point Vicente Lighthouse, this Southern California restaurant offers one of the most scenic locations in Palos Verdes from which to enjoy a meal in a casual setting.

Beach

The resort has a private beach cove with a sandy beach to relax on. There is excellent snorkeling, however access is over a rocky beach so rubber booties are recommended.

82 separate Casitas and Villas are currently available for sale. Nestled along the resort’s east and west facing bluffs with breathtaking views of the Pacific is a limited collection of 50 Ocean Casitas. Poised on the resort’s uppermost terrace is a rare collection of just 32 Ocean Villas. Five bungalow complexes, each with four 1650 square foot, three bedroom, three bath units will be available in a future release. Due to Coastal Commission Restrictions, owners of these units are limited to occupancy ranging from 60 (casitas) to 90 days (villas) a year. When not occupying the unit, the owners may lease the units themselves or place the units in a rental pool run by the resort.
